Hug Me Loëx (2014)

Margaux Monetti signs a 10 minutes performance specially created for this venue, a 25 meters in length hallway based in the basement of the Hôpital de Loëx.

‘This guided perambulation is a very intimate and striking experience. A walk which builds itself from surprise to mystery, always in a great proximity with the artists. A special feature of this Hug me: you only take path in the hallways of this immense hospital site which was conceived so that all of its building could communicate.

The glazed hallways allow the public to be in contact with the performances danced on the other side; the basement hallways, more narrow and labyrinth-like, host musicians and performers. This is a luminous walk in a hospital to the sounds and images which merge into the residency’s daily life, without interrupting, without magnifying, only taking the particular architecture of this site.”
