Stereo-Gender (2022)
Six dancers find themselves in a human scale a game. Faced with the possibilities and constraints that appear, should they keep on playing, give up or change the rules?
Stereo-Gender offers the audience a dynamic, colorful and captivating choreographic trail, which explores the impact of the roles and values that structure our society. The piece is structured in three 15-minute tableaux, which, explore three different themes: inequalities, stereotypes and empowerment. These concepts which may seem complex are approached in a creative and playful way in order to make them accessible to a young audience.
Stereo-Gender doesn’t only seek to deconstruct existing gender norms, it also aims to introduce new options, in order to encourage, from an early age, the
development of a critical and open mind.
